2001 - 2005, Rehabilitation and Supporting People Service, Brent

Achievements

  • Design of  Complex Care Pathway for Brent Mental Health Services

  • Development of Rehabilitation and Supporting People Service (150 intensive support placements in Brent) - saving an initial average of £1m per annum in out-of borough  placements

  • Chair of NHS and Social Services Joint Placement Panel (5 years)

 

Programme Lead for Delivering Race Equality in Mental Health Central & North West London Foundation Trust  2005 – 2009  Trustwide

Achievements

  • Established working relationship with 33 community groups not previously engaged with the Trust.

  • Secured funding to deliver 8 research or service improvement projects  in partnership with community groups

 

Programme Lead for Mental Health and Older People: Commissioning Support for London 2009 -2011 London region

Achievements

  • My work on implementation of National Dementia Strategy in London commended  by Institute of Public Policy Research

  • Producing guidance for commissioners on improving dementia services

  • Modeling reinvestment options for improvements in dementia  care pathway and reducing mental health out-of-borough placements
